The Pompano Rig | Surf Fishing Tackle
The Pompano Rig from Obi Pompanobi will soon be your favorite. Always my first choice to send those first baits into the surf. This Pompano Rig | Surf Fishing tackle will greatly improve your chances of catching Pompano which is a much sought after-table fare delicacy. My favorite! This is also a great fishing rig to have in your arsenal to target multiple species. Including Bluefish-Red Drum-Black Drum-Whiting-Spanish Mackerel and more! Just load up your circle hooks with your favorite bait and watch that rod tip for the action to heat up. This Pompano Rig is a custom hand tied double dropper rig made with 25 lb. Mono with 2 Eagle Claw 2/0 L197 Circle Sea Hooks, perfect for surf fishing adventures. You can choose from several different size-shape and color profiles. Fish can be finicky so it is wise to have a variety of options to choose from. With The Pompano Rig design you can even remove your accoutrements ( flashy floats-beads-rattlers and such ) to create what we call a “naked” drop. Just plain hooks and Monofiliment. Always make note of what you used for bait and which dropper they hit to dial in your day when surf fishing.
